Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna National Organizer and Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
Namal Rajapaksa had been notified to appear before the Bribery Commission this morning (04) to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation regarding the Airbus transaction.
Accordingly, Namal Rajapaksa, the eldest son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, arrived at the Bribery Commission this morning. After recording a statement from him for over five hours, the Bribery Commission proceeded to arrest him.
