A team of officers from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption visited the residence of Member of Parliament Ravi Karunanayake today (29) after he failed to appear before the commission as notified.
The team of Bribery Commission officers visited Mr. Karunanayake’s residence located on Parliament Road, Colombo.
It is reported that he had been previously notified to appear before the Bribery Commission to give a statement or inquire about matters related to an ongoing investigation concerning the MP. However, as Mr. Karunanayake did not appear before the commission according to that notification, it is reported that commission officers visited his residence as a subsequent step regarding him.
